How hot does your motor run?

150 °C

Class F up to 155 °C

Industrial motors and pumps; the most common class.

For this class:

The varnish class must be at least the class of the winding. Thermal classes follow IEC 60085. The class of each product is stated in its TDS.

How to apply varnish

  1. Air-drying varnish brushed onto a stator

    Prepare first

The winding must be clean, oil-free and dry. Preheat old motors to drive out moisture.

  2. A stator dipped into a varnish tank

    Then dip

Keep the winding in the varnish until bubbling stops, then let the excess drain.

  3. A varnished stator curing in an oven

    Cure last

Allow the full drying time for air-drying grades; follow the time and temperature plan for baking grades.

Questions

What is winding varnish?

A solvent-borne or solventless insulating varnish applied to motor and transformer windings after winding. It penetrates between the wires, bonds them together and protects the winding from moisture, dust and heat.

Should I choose air-drying or baking varnish?

Choose air-drying OR 1xx if you have no oven or do repair and field work; choose baking OR 3xx for series production and the highest endurance. Air-drying or baking winding varnish?

Which thinner and what ratio?

Generally 3 parts varnish to 1 part thinner. Air-drying grades use T-100, OKA-501 uses T-501 and baking grades use T-300. Which thinner for winding varnish, and at what ratio?

Can I get the TDS and a price list?

Yes. Send us your requirement on WhatsApp or by email and we will send the technical data sheet (TDS), the safety data sheet (SDS) and a current price.

Do you send samples?

Yes. We send samples so you can test the product on your own line. Just tell us the motor type and how you apply varnish.

Do you make custom products?

Yes. We adapt colour, viscosity, drying time, film thickness and packaging to your needs.

Do you export?
